Our Mission is to collect, preserve, and interpret the rich early 1900's history of the multicultural railroad logging community of Maxville, Oregon and similar communities in the Pacific Northwest. Let's preserve their history together!
Opportunities for Gifts in Kind
We are currently looking for office space to run our organization and would gladly accept an in kind donation of space! Please Contact Us if you might be able to help.
Some donors choose to contribute personal property such as
- historical artifacts,
- personal journals and documents
- computing and technical equipment, jewelry
- even automobiles.
In some cases, the gift to the interpretive center may be sold and the money invested in endowments or used for capital and operating funds. In other instances, gifts of property - such as computers and furnishings - may be used immediately in the interpretive center.
Many companies encourage their employees to participate in philanthropic opportunities by either matching, doubling, of even tripling each dollar an employee contributes to charitable institutions like the Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center.
Contact your company's personnel office to find out if your firm has a matching gift program.
If so, obtain the proper matching gift forms and send them with your check to Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center.
The Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center will recognize your donation as well as a matching gift from your company in the total of your support.
