Don Riggles and son Jack
Don lived in Maxville (1937), after the town was officially closed in 1933 when the Bowman Hicks lumber company left. His wife taught school for all the children of Maxville during that time black and white. Don lived and worked the area in and around Maxville and Minam on Smith Mountain.
