Have artifacts or information? Are you a Maxville descendent?

According to old documents, new articles, and oral histories, Maxville was once a thriving town of about 400 workers which included women and children. Maxville is unique in that 40 to 60 of those logging families were African-American.

If you know of others who have any information on names and whereabouts of the Maxville logging town's residents, family members, friends, or neighbors, please contact us.

Artifacts, journals, personal or public documents, and old photos and maps, would be beneficial to our understanding of this historic time and place.
