8th Annual Maxville Gathering

SAVE THE DATE: 8TH ANNUAL MAXVILLE GATHERING - August 20th 2016 - Hosted by the Wallowa Band Nez Perce Interpretive Center Join us for a fun-filled day for the whole family!

​NEW - Local Lumberjack Show |  ​Two ​Exhibition - Competitions   |  At 11am & ​2:30pm

Competitors - Jack and Jill: You must bring your own safety equipment, chaps, safety glasses, fuel and saws (crosscut and chainsaw). Please call: 541-426-3545 for details.

Competitors will need to sign up 30 minutes in advance of each event and ​remain in the designated registration area for instruction. There will be a $5 registration fee. This is our first year so there will be a​ short list of competition options: Speed Choke Set, Chain Saw vs Crosscut, Chainsaw vs Chainsaw (two more activities planned by our local lumberjacks), check back for updates.

Bringing back the Ma & Pa relay!   This is a lively activity, geared for laughter and audience participation.

Grammy Award winning musician - Dom Flemons is back this year!

HopeDanceNYC will be performing for us and we welcome them for their first time at the Gathering.

Mule drawn tours, , live music, kids booths, great local food, local vendors and more!

The Maxville Annual Gathering is a full-day family-friendly event that celebrates the logging history of Wallowa County. There are stories activities, tours, demonstrations, and competitions based on the history of Maxville.

Award caliber music performed by the Brann family, local foods and BBQ, an experienced mule team, haul guided tours of the site. Historical  demonstrations, silent auction, raffle and kids activities! Educational fun for the whole family with a ​Local Lumberjack Show - ​NEW! An alcohol free event.
